Visitors can expect a cozy, welcoming environment at Hidden Wonders. The doors to the showroom open thirty minutes before showtime, and performances begin promptly at the designated hour, with no late admittance. While there is no strict dress code, guests are encouraged to dress to impress while remaining comfortable.

Hidden Wonders welcomes families, recommending the show for children old enough to sit through a 75-minute performance, similar to a theater experience. Sunday matinee shows are particularly suited for families. The venue is also designed to be accessible to all, with ramps, wide doors, and tiered seating that can accommodate guests with mobility needs.

Try throwing him a curveball and see where he goes with it. The audience helps decide what tricks he will be doing so don't be afraid to interact!     Verified So much wonder and amusement What an amazing night filled with fun and surprises! Shawn is a definite world class magician, and comedian, keeping us laughing and guessing every minute. The staff at the theatre were beyond fantastic as well, and I found it quite neat that they were either magicians themselves, or part of Shawn's family (his wife and daughter). I highly recommend going to Hidden Wonders for a night out with your partner, with friends, with your kid(s) or by yourself...it was just a lovely experience and we will be back!

    Verified A must see (at least once, if not multiple times) I had been wanting to go for many years as this show looked amazing and had nothing but amazing reviews.So, I booked my 50th birthday event for family and friends. Shawn and his team were so accommodating with a date and time that worked. I am so grateful for this! Everyone who attended will agree this was a fabulous show and we all highly recommend as something you must see (at least once…but even over and over again). And adding that everything in the front shop and back performance area was so cool, even the bathrooms!We are all still trying to figure out how he did the magic tricks, but his personality (and his staff too) were so attentive &Kind. The Venue

The venue seats a total of 30 guests in two sections, ensuring an intimate setting. General admission tickets offer single seats in rows three to five, with the furthest seat just 13 feet from the stage. VIP Couples tickets provide pairs of seats in the first two rows, where attendees are gifted a Hidden Wonders souvenir key and may be invited to help choose which magic effects are performed. The front row is about three feet from the stage, promising an up-close and personal experience.

FAQ – Hidden Wonders

When should we arrive?

The doors to the showroom open thirty minutes before showtime and the performance begins promptly at the designated hour. Absolutely no late admittance or refunds will be offered.

Is there a dress code?

While we don’t enforce or even have a dress code, we do consider our venue to be a unique experience and ask that you dress to impress but you should also be comfortable. Please, just don’t dress like a slob.

Are children welcome to attend?

Hidden Wonders is an incredible experience that we’d love for you to share with your family. The experience is not for small children and we do not permit preschoolers to attend so as to not disrupt our other guests, We recommend the show for children who are old enough to sit and appreciate a 75-minute show, like one would in a theater. Some families find this to be around 6 or 7 years old, but you know your child best. Be advised if your child is disruptive you will be asked to leave so others can continue to enjoy the experience.

Do you permit video and photography during the performance?

Sure, if you’d like to capture a memory of a loved one or friend participating in the show, be our guest! We just ask that you do not use flash, or record long videos of the show to preserve the mystery for future guests. Is Hidden Wonders accessible to all?

We believe so! Hidden Wonders was designed with Shawn’s Mother in mind, as she used a wheelchair due to several strokes. The front door has a ramp, all doors and entry points are a minimum of 32″ wide and although we have tiered seating, if notice is given in advance, we will accommodate guests with a wheelchair in the front row, VIP section, for the price of a General admission. We have also hosted visually and hearing impaired guests who expressed that they enjoyed the experience immensely. We are far from perfect but will do our best to make every guest have a magical experience. Let us know your needs in advance and we will work with you to make the best experience possible.

What is the parking situation?

All of the downtown core of New Westminster is metered parking. There are several parking spots on both sides of the road. If you prefer covered parking there is a lot at 800 Carnarvon Street, which is a few blocks away. As in any city, to help prevent theft, please leave no valuables in your vehicle.

What is the refund policy?

All ticket sales are final. No refunds or exchanges will be allowed on ticket sales.

Can I engage Shawn to perform at my event?

Shawn previously traveled year-round performing both close-up interactive magic, as well as stage shows but is doing his best to stay locally. He performs for both private functions and corporate events. In addition, the Hidden Wonders showroom is also available for buy-outs!

Do you offer Gift Cards and Gift Certificates?

At the request of many of our guests we are now offering Gift Cards and Gift Certificates to share the wonder.

Gift Cards are available to purchase on site prior and after the experience at Hidden Wonders. The cards are a standard credit size plastic card and are available in $50 General Seating and $130 for two VIP Seats. (plus GST and service charge)
